What’s your background?

Adeyemi Ramon was born in Lagos, Nigeria on the 15th of January , 1978. He graduated from Ore-ofe primary school, Egbe ,Lagos . He proceeded to Muslim College, Egbe, Lagos for his Secondary School Certificate. He attended The Polytechnic Ibadan and bagged National Diploma (ND)in Art and Design and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Fine and Applied​ Art.
At the completion of his academic pursuit, he joined the National Gallery of Art , Nigeria and rose to the Principal Technical Officer. He has also participated in various international, local exhibitions and Art competitions.

 Who are your biggest influences?

Works of  Gustave Courbet, a French realist painter and Mr. Abiodun Olaku a Nigerian painter has been a great influence on me.

 What does your work aim to say?

DESCRIPTION OF MY WORK
I work with oil on canvas by exploring several issues that are dear to me .​ I do portraits,​ landscape, still life and figures.​
As a realist painter, My inspirations are from scenes witnessed around me. My love for nature, environment and people serve as the basis of my painting. When I am painting I portray people and situations on canvas with uncompromising reality, depicting harsh/ pleasant everyday life of ordinary people in the society.

How has your practice change over time,?

Through constant practice, exposure to various medium of painting and experimenting with diverse techniques and styles I am growing into an artist with great patience in handling and paying more attention to details which has been helping my works a great deal.

All my works are special to me because the more I works the best of me I realize.
